This Recipe WILL BE the Beginning of a Life-Long Friendship with Veggies!
When my nieces were younger, the only vegetable they would eat from a veggie-and-dip platter was the cucumbers. They devoured it. Everything else … forgetaboutit!
So when I made this recipe, all I asked was that they just give it a taste with any veggie other than a cucumber. From that moment on, veggies were a wonderful discovery.
If your family tends to avoid eating veggies, I promise you that this recipe will cure that problem … because if we’re NOT eating our veggies, it IS a problem!
Why I Love This Recipe
This a great dip for any party or get-together. It’s a great after-school snack as well as packed in lunches. Everyone, and I mean everyone loves this dip.
Why You'll Love This Recipe
- It’s easy to make. Your kids will eat more vegetables … guaranteed!
- It will become your favourite vegetable dip and the best part is … you made it!
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Mayonnaise
- ½ Cup Sour Cream or Greek Yogurt
- 1 tbsp. Dried Parsley
- 1/8 to 1/4 Cup Finely Sliced Scallions
- 1 tsp. Dried Onion Flakes
- 1 tsp. Dried Tarragon
- ½ tsp. Dried Dill
- ½ tsp. Garlic Powder
- ¼ tsp. Paprika
- Salt & Pepper to Taste
Directions & Cook’s Notes/Tips
- In a bowl, add mayonnaise and sour cream, with a fork or whisk, and mix well. Add all other ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Refrigerate for about 3 or 4 hours before serving.
- Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- Miracle Whip is NOT mayonnaise, so DO NOT use it … unless you have an insatiable craving for High Fructose Corn Syrup, Modified Cornstarch, Artificial Flavours, and of course, everyone’s favourite Potassium Sorbate! 😉
